First of all – Happy 1st November! I love Halloween as much as the next gal but I also love planning and thinking about Christmas, and now that Halloween is out of the way I can do that. HURRAH!
I wanted to give you a quick update on all things SuperCoolCast. You’ve probably noticed that there isn’t a new episode today, and alas there won’t be one this month… or next month. It was a tough call to make, but currently my life is a bit upside down – We had to house hunt in a panic, and are now moving in a bit of a panic (never mind the fact that we’re downsizing and I have a tremendous amount of stuff to sort through and get rid off), the cat is very poorly (you can enjoy a photo of her beautiful little face up there ^) and all kinds of other things are going on that I won’t go into. I’m not going to pretend that living and working outside of Guildford hasn’t had a real impact on my access to game developers with amazing stories to tell – and yes, of course it’s down to me to decide how often I can be in Guildford, but driving 40 miles at the end of the day and then being awake and entertaining enough to host a podcast is not always a pleasing prospect. Eugh. I feel like I’m whinging. I think the podcast deserves all or nothing, and right now it would be impossible for me to give it my all.
Fear not, the SuperCoolCast will be back in 2018, potentially in a slightly different format and maybe even with some new hosting voices – I literally just thought that up, so now I’ll need to go and brainstorm potential co hosts. I am a nightmare! – and with lots of excellent new game devs and other people involved in games telling their tales and offering advice.
In the meantime, you can always catch me at the next Rocket Jump Event which will be taking place on November 16th. I am made up to be hosting my 3rd event and would love to see you in the audience <3 I’m also hoping to feature on a couple of podcasts before the year is out, so as and when that happens I’ll be sure to let you guys know!
Thank you for hanging out with me for another year-ish, I really do appreciate it. As always, feel free to leave any feedback or suggestions in the comments. So much love to you all, I can’t tell you how much it means to know I have my little community supporting me here and I promise I will be back and invigorated in the New Year. Mwah mwah, kisses for days x
